Back. We are still on Covid. Naomi Klein, perhaps inadvertently, revealed the modus operandus of The Left - her side - when she wrote The Shock Doctrine. Never let a crisis go to waste. I suppose this includes entirely manufactured crisis, such as Covid.
And now we have a lockdown, or a shockdown, in NSW. The ongoing live ticker that is Covid hasn't destroyed enough businesses, it seems. The Premier has previously explicitly tied lockdowns to the not-vax. Evidently there hasn't been enough uptake, so a harsh reminder is required. Covid, naturally, is no more a threat now than it was last month, but the Premier needn't concern herself with such trifles.
But she should. The not-vax has casualties, and if casualties rise high enough to be considered a crime against humanity, where does this leave the leaders of our states? Linking lockdowns to the not-vax is a threat; coercion. Coercing the population to take a dangerous, untested not-vax puts state leaders into dangerous territory - dangerous for them. This is not a doctor who is misguided, or a nurse who simply doesn't know. This is a political leader, with a higher responsibility ... And one question to ponder. Big Pharma 'negotiated' immunity with every western country, and did so within a startlingly short window. Was Dr Kerry Chant party to these discussions? Were political leaders? This guy can't sue, for sure.
At the level of Chief Health Officer, or state Premier, one may assume they are nobodies, and the extreme over-reaction to Covid a result of ignorance, actions misguided, albeit allied with a more naked political calculation: how will this affect our vote? The condescension shown in prezzers is irritating, but probably in line with their overall behavior as they built a career. Premier Gladys doesn't strike many as a sinister character, where Premier Chang has looked and acted like a crook for his entire career. But allowing Big Pharma free reign to experiment on the population is a serious matter, and one which appears to have been treated in an un-serious manner. If there ever is a class action, I suggest our political leaders lawyer up.
