From the outside the SNP just look like SJW's, with a sprinkle of nationalism thrown in for the rubes. Their essential agenda under Nicola is a feminist, utopian one, and how do these projects usually end? Hint: not well.
This authoritarian outlook has reached Australia. Are you enjoying your government-enforced, and likely illegal, house arrest? Probably not. Big Nanny may be displeased at your actions, but she doesn't own you, screw Big Nanny. My thought is, if I'm fined, to politely ask the officer's name, and signal my intent to challenge the fine. No aggression or snide, respectful and clear. And follow through.
In passing, I firmly expect Nicola's government to fall in disgrace, though Wu Flu has extended the timetable. However, the fight promises to be brutal, soft civil-war style, rendering the main objective of independence moot, at least for now. Consider this a prediction: she's gone within 18 months, to avoid criminal prosecution. And independence is done for a decade.
