Welcome to the Cargo Cult. It will be taken as read, on these boards, that the intelligent reader understands the perfidy of corporate media and laughs like a Viking at their newest lies. It will also be assumed that the reader is smarter than I, even when, very occasionally, they are not. Any words are merely my opinion, with which anyone can disagree. Factual errors on my part will never be deliberate.

The Eagle-Eyed reader will have spotted both Iain Banks references. Assuredly, there will be many more, as I wander lightly through the days. It was pointed out to me that Culture society is both utopian and dystopian; depending on one’s perspective either a communist ideal, or a fascist surveillance nightmare. Such observations remain of interest, in an increasingly bizarre and fractured society.

And here I add a rider. This is not a safe space for social justice warriors. I wish not to fool the reader with my love of Culture stories. If Trans rights are your passion, move on, for they are not mine.
